I know, hard to believe, but there is finally some activity here in the world of OysterGirl! Of course, all summer there long has been steady activity on the blog of OysterGirl's not-so-secret identity, Miss Lynn.)
OysterGirl Central is a flurry of activity at the moment in preparation for the re-launch of the online store on September 1. Here are some of things I've been working on:
You may recall the green sweater with daisy buttons I made last March. I have been long thinking of trying to make a coordinating hat. My first attempt looked more like a fried egg:
But then I settled on a design I was happier with:
And I even made some in Black-Eyed Susan/sunflower colors!
My good friend KG made a special request a few months back for a mitten-scarf for her birthday. This is a very long scarf with mittens at either end, so it can be worn as a kind of neck/shoulder/arm/hand warmer. Later on she also requested a grown-up version of the baby hats I made a while back. Here she is modeling her finery at Sunday's birthday party!
Many thanks to Erin for that last photo.
Watch this space for more updates as the re-launch approaches, and thanks for reading!

That is a pretty awesome mitten scarf. And I love how you made the hat XL for my big cranium.
